Training Classes: Puppy

Get your puppy started off on the right paw! Classes strengthen the bond between you and your puppy and help prepare your furry family member for a lifetime of being a confident, calm and responsive companion.

The ages of 3-12 weeks is a critical time for socialization and learning. Puppy Training Classes assist your dog through this educational period and help them reach their full potential.

You will learn what motivates your puppy, how they learn, and how they respond to new environments. This knowledge will help you guide your puppy to becoming a well-behaved and happy member of your family.

Location

Classes will be held at Cherry Hill Animal Hospital in our lobby and fenced in backyard.

Ages

Puppies between the ages of 8-24 weeks are invited to participate.

Course Topics

Positive reinforcement training methods
Interpreting dog body language
Beginner training behaviors such as: sit, drop, and settle on a mat
Handling and husbandry techniques and conditioning
Understanding the importance of the puppy socialization period
Toilet training
Bite inhibition
Understanding and managing normal puppy behaviors

Cost

$175 for 5 classes.

The first one is informational and for pet parents only. The other 4 include the puppies for hands-on training.
Classes are held weekly for approximately 1 hour each.
