Jessica Ennis, DVM decided to pursue veterinary medicine after a college education internship with the Philadelphia Zoo. She enjoyed teaching the visitors all about the residents at the zoo and client education remains a focal point of her practicing technique today. After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, Dr. Ennis returned to the Greater Philadelphia Area to practice emergency medicine. In 2013 she developed a house call practice with Laura Muller. The duo shared a passion for thorough preventative medicine, education, and low-stress veterinary care, which are principles that they continue to practice at Cherry Hill Animal Hospital. Her clinical passions include pain management, internal medicine, feline medicine, behavior, hospice and end-of-life care, and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, including acupuncture.
In her spare time, Dr. Ennis loves hanging out with her son, fluffy fur kids and her less furry husband in Philadelphia. You can often find her on walks with them along the Schuylkill or Delaware River. She also tries to find balance by tapping into her creative side and listening to music, creating art, and cooking at home.
